“IQ & CQ: Dialogue as the Bridge Between Individual Intelligence and Collective Intelligence” with Bradley Chenoweth, LEADR’s In-house Trainer.

This presentation focuses on Dialogue and the ongoing research at a frontier of practice established by the Dialogue Project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Organisations, workgroups and leaders seeking to manage conflict, and navigate the complexities of 21st Century change, need new capacities in order to make effective decisions that benefit both short and long-term objectives. Dialogic skills assist groups to garner the information in a system and learn how to genuinely think together as they problem-solve.

The presentation will define Dialogue as a specific practice and orientation and describe the four identifying practices of Dialogue. It will offer findings from the Leadership for Collective Intelligence program which the author has been undertaking in Boston over 2005/6.

Bradley Chenoweth is LEADR’s In-house Trainer and has taught mediation skills to professionals in Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

His practice involves mediation of business, organisational, workplace and community disputes. He is a regular visitor and associate to the Boston-based program which continues research established by the Dialogue Project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and its pioneering work with Fortune 500 companies and NGO’s. He has degrees in Law and Philosophy.
