| Recent changes to the Family Law Legislation

The changes to the Family Law Legislation which were announced recently will be of great interest to Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners. Andrea Cotter-Moroz will explain the detail and nuances of these changes and participants will have the opportunity to share their views and practice ideas in a discussion facilitated by Val Sinclair. It promises to be an interesting evening and will appeal to all FDRPs. It will be a wonderful forum at which to network and share ideas. All ADRA members are warmly welcome to attend and participate.
Andrea Cotter-Moroz
Andrea Cotter-Moroz has been a practising barrister at the NSW Bar for nearly 20 years.
She has a special interest in ADR and over the past 15 years she has provided a variety of dispute resolution services. She is an Accredited Family Law Arbitrator; Registered FDRP; Accredited Mediator under the NMAS; on the panel of Mediators for the referral of Supreme and District Court matters and a Local Court Arbitrator.
Andrea is an experienced adult educator and has been involved in all aspects of adult education for over 25 years. She is passionate about ongoing professional development and opportunities for undergraduate law students to participate in international law student competitions. She has been invited to judge the Louis M Brown International Client Counselling Competition; the final of the Inaugural Indian Negotiation Skills Competition; and to act as Arbitrator in the International Commercial Arbitration Vis Moot.
She is a member of the ADRA Board and the immediate past Chair of the NSW Chapter of LEADR. She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators and of the Australian Institute of Training and Development.
About Val Sinclair
Val has been a full time practising mediator for 20 years. She has provided dispute resolution services for family, workplace and commercial disputes. Val is an RTO qualified and experienced trainer in dispute resolution processes.
She is Accredited as a LEADR Advanced mediator, accredited under the NMAS as well as a Registered Family Dispute Resolution Provider registered to provide child inclusive processes.
Val is also a qualified supervisor of new practitioners.
An experienced writer, developer and presenter of training programs in dispute resolution processes, Val regularly acts as a coach and assessor of conflict resolution and mediation skills
Val is Director CSA Mediation, on the LEADR NSW Chapter Committee, and a Member of the Board of Collaborative Professionals (NSW) Inc and of the Board of Australian Dispute Resolution Association (ADRA).
