Fair Work Australia is the national workplace relations tribunal. It is an independent body with power to carry out a range of functions relating to:
- the safety net for minimum wages and employment conditions
- enterprise bargaining
- industrial action
- dispute resolution
- termination of employment
- other workplace matters.
About Anna Lee Cribb
Anna Lee Cribb has been Commissioner of Fair Work Australia since July 2009. She was appointed Commissioner of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission in August 1994 where she was initially allocated as a member of the Metal Industry Panel, covering Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.
Since February 2003, Anna Lee has been dealing with matters in the health and welfare services industry in Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia. From December 2008, she has also been involved in matters in the food manufacturing, education and distribution industries.
Prior to AIRC, Anna Lee was a consultant in human resources from 1992-94 and before that a lecturer and tutor in industrial relations (contract) at
Monash University and Victoria University from 1982-1994.
Previously, Anna Lee worked as Group Human Resources Manager with Orica Limited; National Industrial Officer with Mobil Oil Australia, and was Industrial Officer with the Public Service Association of South Australia.
