ADR within the Australian Defence Force
with Carol Bowen, Dispute Resolution Practitioner, ADF
Carol Bowen will discuss ADR in the Defence Force including some of the challenges of setting up the Fairness and Resolution Centres to assist employees with disputes and complaints.
Carol will cover management of ADR in-house from a dual role perspective as well as discuss how conflict coaching and intake are used in Defence to prepare parties for mediation.
ADR's Fairness and Resolution Branch recently established Fairness and Resolution Centres in each State/Territory to provide advice and assistance to all Defence employees on the management and resolution of workplace conflict, unacceptable behaviour and other complaints within Defence.
The NSW Fairness and Resolution Centre was officially opened on 29 May 2008 by the Honourable Sir Laurence Street.
Who should attend?
This event will appeal to LEADR members and guests who have an interest in:
- internal grievance procedures,
- promoting internal complaints handling initiatives,
- dealing with unacceptable behaviours in the workplace, and
- equity and defence matters.
