| Honing your skills in pre-mediation and intake sessions
Facilitated by Val Sinclair
on Thursday 23 September
Intake is an essential component of effective mediation for both the participants and the mediator. Join us for this session to consider the following issues, to raise your own questions and to share your insights.
- What issues do you need to consider in order to decide whether a dispute is suitable for mediation?
- What information does the mediator need to gain from the pre-mediation session to design a suitable process for the mediation?
- How do you use the pre-mediation session effectively to make sure that participants are prepared for the mediation?
- What procedural and substantive items need to be covered in the pre-mediation session?
- What process and skills are used to conduct the session?
