Emotional intelligence and mediation
with Clare Swetenham
following the SA Chapter AGM
on Tuesday 24 November
Emotional Intelligence is the ability to problem solve with and about emotional information. Emotions are almost always prevalent in conflict situations, thus, looking at ways people recognize, use, understand and manage emotions will give us additional information for use in mediation.
This is the first of a two part series. Clare and Heidi Smith will give a presentation: Mediating personality: MBTI and mediation; How do normal personality differences lead to conflict between parties? in February 2010
About Clare Swetenham

Clare is accredited to use the Mayer, Salovey, Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) and is using this to work with both employees and leaders to explore how Emotional Intelligence impacts on peoples experience in the workplace.
