In this experiential workshop discover techniques to relax and connect with your inner peace; a peace that will make you a more effective mediator.

jackieMediating becomes easier when we feel energised, happy and peaceful every day. It also helps when we can easily let go of the clients and their situations after we finish working with them.

In this fun interactive presentation, lawyer and spiritual teacher Jackie Curran will guide you into a space of inner peace using a short burst of laughter yoga, followed by a wonderful meditation process called Ignite Your Spirit meditation. Worldwide research has clearly demonstrated the physical, mental and emotional benefits of regular meditation. After meditating your physiology is transformed – you feel relaxed and deeply peaceful.

The unique interactive style of meditation taught in the Shanti Mission Harmony Centres (www.shantimission.org), works directly on your energy field, your mind and physical body, releasing stress and habitual thoughts that create worry within us, and can lead to illness. The meditation uses the transformative power of sound with ancient sanskrit chant music. In this workshop you will find ways to calm and quieten the mind and be at peace with yourself and those around you. As you change the vibration of your energy field with the meditation and the music you will automatically change the energy field within which you work – this will affect those around you and the space you create for your mediation session. You can easily change the energy of your working space with high vibrational music. My regular practice of these techniques has transformed my mediation sessions.

Regular practice of Ignite Your Spirit meditation and use of the healing music will lead to you being focused, productive and happy at work. Your working space will be peaceful and you will then find it easier to deal with difficult situations and people. You will be a happier healthier more focused and productive mediator by using these simple techniques.

The experience will capture the audience – the way the energy and music creates an atmosphere that will change how people feel immediately. It will be similar to mindful practices people may have experienced – however it is potentially more powerful for most people. It is increasing our skills to be more effective as people and mediators – to improve our mental and physical health and well being.

Short laughter yoga exercises followed by meditation using specific music and a guided meditation process.

She says she has now found her "spiritual home ", and describes her time learning and working with the Shanti Mission as being the most rewarding so far. Through working as a teacher and therapist within Shanti Mission she has found the opportunity for service and helping others in an organisation that offers all its courses by donation. Her experiences have opened her to new worlds of personal change and spiritual growth, and the journey is a continuing one.
