Being aware of the filters that we apply assists us to be more effective in our communication and in helping others to overcome them.

prathameshThe presentation will draw attention to some of the basic filters that all humans operate under. It will then generate a debate on how often they are recognised and how to deal with them when required or how to work around them and why.

Participants will find relevance in how telling is the effect of these filters on the person’s perception and narration of events and how to consider dealing with them where required.

This will include a synthesis of current thinking having an application for the ADR practitioner.

The interactive style of the presentation will allow participants to engage in live demonstrations so as to get a hands-on understanding of these filters. This will empower them to play a more supportive role as ‘neutrals’.
