Come along and be inspired to explore mindfulness: to become more focused on being than doing, on presence rather than outcomes, and on strength rather than the problem. Charlotte promises chocolates, music, dialogue, interaction and no power points.

charlotteMindfulness is sweeping the West, with research telling us that it is the best ‘tool’ for dealing with stress, depression and anxiety.

Dan Siegel states: ‘Mindfulness should really be seen as a basic science of every clinical profession that we have.’

Staying omnipartial, calm, having high level of self awareness as well as clarity of mind and presence are all essential ingredients in being a competent mediator.  They are also elements which are strengthened when cultivating mindfulness.

We will explore the use of mindfulness in mediation from the perspective of how cultivating mindfulness can support the mediator in being a better mediator. Mindfulness tools and techniques are relevant to any mediator or for that matter any clinician. Additionally cultivating mindfulness reduces stress, burnout levels and helps us self care.
